About J.C.

As a child, J.C. was fascinated by things that went bump in the night. As they say, some things never change. Now, as an adult, she divides her time between the mythical creatures that live inside her head and taking care of everyday responsibilities. As it is for most writers, finding balance is a challenge.

J.C. was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area to a loving, but kooky set of parents who supported her no matter how many times she changed career paths. She is blessed with a sister, 11 years her junior, who she also calls her friend. With the support and encouragement of her parents behind her, J.C. set out to figure out what she wanted to do when she grew up. Most days, the jury is still out; but the thing that stuck with her no matter what she pursued was her love of the written word.

In early 2011, J.C.'s family welcomed her back from New Orleans, Louisiana where she had been living for the past few years. Currently in pursuit of her Bachelors of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, J.C. eats, lives, and breathes literature in all its forms.

J.C. dabbles in many different genres including science fiction, horror, chick lit, and murder mysteries; but she is most enthralled by supernatural young adult stories.

J.C. is working on the first book in a YA supernatural series entitled "The Birthright Series." To learn more about J.C.'s current projects, please visit the J.C.'s Books page.
